Everyday Support Within Your Own Home
Managing everyday tasks at home can become more difficult without the right support in place, whether that's due to disability, age or changing circumstances. DMH Support Services provides in-home support on the Central Coast, covering daily living tasks within a participant's own home.
This can include help with meal preparation, household duties or personal care, arranged around each person's routine. Support workers visit at times that suit the participant, rather than on a fixed schedule set by the provider.
For participants also wanting support to get out and about in the community, our community access programs page covers this separately. Call 0424 110 824 to talk through what support might suit your household.

What In-Home Support Can Include
Support is arranged following an individual assessment of a participant's needs at home, and reviewed as those needs change. This can include:
Assistance with meal preparation and household duties. Tasks are arranged around a participant's own routine and preferences.
Support with personal care, where required. This is provided with respect for a participant's privacy and independence.
Help managing appointments and daily schedules. This can include reminders or coordination with other supports.
Companionship-based support for participants who want it. The level of social interaction is set by the participant.
Arranging in-home support usually starts with a conversation about the tasks a participant needs help with and how their home and routine are set up. From there, a support arrangement is developed following an individual assessment, taking into account the participant's own preferences for how tasks are carried out. Participants are asked to share relevant details from their NDIS plan or other funding arrangement, so that support can be matched to approved categories.
Support workers are introduced before regular visits begin, so participants know who to expect. Arrangements are reviewed periodically and can be adjusted if a participant's needs or routine change over time.
